This looks like it could be really good or really bad.

De Niro, Pfeiffer, Claire Danes; based on the novel by Neil Gaiman.

This is based on my favorite book and it looks like they may have changed a few things. A few too many things. :(

Not to mention Peter O'Toole and the great Ricky Gervais.

But you're right, could go either way. I love pretty much everything Gaimen's ever written, so this one looks to fall squarely on the shoulders of the director. And I'll be honest, the direction doesn't look to be anything special. Most of the shots look fairly uninspired, and reminds me of the boring fashion in which Andrew Adamson directed The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

saw this last night.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's mindless escapism, but it's done right. My only complaint is that the casting could have been better.

Who in the cast did you find to be replaceable?

Michelle pfeiffer and claire danes mostly. To be honest, De niro kind of took away from the movie for me too.

the guy who played the main character was good though.

Loved the book. Never got around to seeing this one. Just put it on my queue.

Now can we get Good Omens out of development & on to the big screen.
