Just saw this last night. Up until the last 20 minutes, this film is all kinds of fantastic, but then it adopts a more serious tone and loses the sparkle it previously had throughout. Still enjoyable though.

Anyone else seen it?
I thought it was great. I love everything that Gondry has done (flaws and all) and Gael Garcia Bernal is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors. I don't understand why it would have gotten less than stellar reviews.

Following Stephane into his dreams was really cool, and thinking about his life in talk show form when he was dreaming was an original move. It's quite a simple story really, with an approach I haven't seen before.
I like Gael Garcia Bernal as an actor as well, ever since I saw the Motorcycle Diaries. Gondry is one sick and twisted MF.

Really great movie. There is something frustrating about the last 20 minutes, but in a good way. He's definitely a pathetic character, but in a way that I think a lot of creative people are. Life can be really hard for someone with his kind of "talents". Gael Garcia Bernal is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors too.

yeah, i just really related to his character...am i pathetic? maybe...it's just that kind of person has trouble fitting in to the "normal and mundane" world...Gael was so great in it...first time i saw him speaking english; he was fucking fantastic; a very different side of him; he really has a knack for humor too..... as well as being totally adorable
