From Eric's nonsensical, poorly organized movie review series (see also: Garden State and Closer).

It was exactly what I expected. Overdone and unrealistic for the ages of the girls (I was thirteen not so long ago, and while there was people doing drugs, it was nothing like this). Yet, for what it is, it's really good. The actor who plays the mother ( I forget her name) is really good, as always. The girls are quite good also. It is pretty crazy to think that that girl wrote the movie; makes me wonder if she can keep it up as an adult. A 6.75/10 in my book.

I enjoyed this one immensley as I have 2 teenage sisters. I thought including the Holly Hunter nude scene in the shower was brilliant, and not because she was naked....

My younger sister saw this in theaters and has wanted me to see it since. I have to start returning movies to the video store so I can actually get more out.

Kids I believe I've seen, I remember a few parts from it, and yes, it was good. :D Thanks for the recommendation, I'll definitely check Thirteen out.

Was it Holly Hunter who was nominated for the best supporting actress Oscar? I heard the acting was great.

It's based on a true story: her life when she was 13. How can you say that her life is unrealistic? Sure, it's not the norm, but certainly it's plausible.

If you don't think the stuff in movies like this is realistic, you need to get out more. That Paris Hilton episode of South Park is not far off.

i thought Thirteen was an excellent movie. plently of young girls throughout America are like that. no, it isn't exactly normal, but not everybody's life is normal.

Saw this movie last night for the fist time. It was ok but nothing to special. It wasn't as graphic as I thought it would be. I thought Thirteen would be more on the lines like the movie Bully.

I liked this movie. I'm sure it's not the story of the average 13 year old. Would I really want to watch a movie about what the average 13 year old does with her life? No. I was an average 13 year old, I know what happened. I want to see the real crazies and troubled kids, like this one.

Kind of an odd bump, but it was kind of an odd rental. I finally got around to seeing this after having it in the "maybe" pile for years. My first thought was that "Kids" did it first and did it better.

Kids is a feature unto itself. The thing was done in the 90's and would still shock people today.
Thriteen was good though. Decent story.

It wasn't a bad movie, I think I was perhaps expecting more or expecting a shock on the level of Kids. The movie did make me feel old though. I just keep thinking "what the fuck is wrong with her parents?". Tracy needed a foot up her ass, and that's coming from someone who never plans on having children.
