Well since we don't have the ability here to make a proper poll, I'll just say list out your choices in your post and I don't know, after awhile I guess I'll go back thru them and do a manual tally.
Anyway we've got 4 separate categories, each with 10 nominees among them. Cable Hour-Longs, Network Hour-Longs, Cable Half Hour-Longs, & Network Half Hour-Longs.
TO VOTE: I'll ask that you simply list out your top 3 choices in each category, preferrably in order of interest.
And the nominees are.....
CABLE HOUR-LONGS:
Battlestar Gallactica Big Love Dexter Monk Nip/Tuck Rescue Me Rome The Shield The Sopranos
NETWORK HOUR-LONGS:
24 C.S.I. (consider just one version, or group all 3 into one choice) Grey's Anatomy Heroes House, M.D. Law & Order (consider just one version, or group all 3 into one choice) Lost Smallville Ugly Betty Veronica Mars
CABLE HALF HOUR-LONGS:
Californication Curb Your Enthusiasm Entourage Flight Of The Conchords It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia Mad Men Reno 911! The Sarah Silverman Program South Park Weeds
NETWORK HALF HOUR-LONGS:
30 Rock Big Bang Theory Family Guy How I Met Your Mother King Of Queens My Name Is Earl The Office Scrubs The Simpsons Two And A Half Men
SPECIAL NOTE -- I'm aware there are a great many fans of "The Wire" out there and you may be wondering where that is as a choice among the Cable Hour-Longs category. I left it off because this poll is strictly about the 2007 season, and so as fans of that show would know, they didn't have a season broadcast during last year. I also tried more often than not, in the interest of fairness, to leave off shows that only just debuted for the 2007-2008 season, because ultimately they would've not had all that many episodes in relation to the size of their full season run during 2007 (thus the exclusion of something like "Pushing Daisies", etc). I know there will still be those who are unhappy with the nominees, but hey it's just a friggin post on a message board
Alright ladies & gentlemen, vote away!!

CABLE HOUR-LONGS: Dexter
Oh yea, speaking of... could I have possibly overheard correctly the other night, that Dexter is now moving from Showtime to CBS (as in regular network)? I could've sworn I heard some kind of announcement about that on the TV (when I was just out of the room) a few days ago. Now I've never actually seen it to know how much language, nudity or violence there may be in it, but hell I know it's on Showtime, so I figure they definitely take advantage of that to some degree, which would mean a strange move going 'down' to a network.

They're just replaying season 1, its not 'moving'.

I abstain from voting because of this blunder....however, as previously stated: Damages is by far the greatest "regular" cable hour long.
Yea, we heard you the first time
As for everyone else with their extra ideas, what can I say... like I pointed out in the top post, I knew I wasn't going to please everybody, that's just impossible. But nobody else had done this that I saw and I felt like it, so I said what the hey. I did my best in choosing nominees, I tried to balance it between shows that I knew were popular along with shows that I would see come up in on multiple critics' top 10 lists (& plenty of shows fit into both those categories).
I never thought about devising 2 separate cable categories, one for premium channels and one for "basic cable" channels, mostly because I honestly didnt think I could come up with 10 different nominees for each of them then, at least not with people surely laughing at the inclusion of some shows, just so I could fill out the list.
