Michael Cera needs to branch out. Or maybe just don't play the same character in everything he does. It was great in AD, good in some movies, but now just annoying.

The trailer is purposefully setting it up to look like a normal Michael Cera-type of movie. When the character turns and accepts his faten and the challenge, the character changes. The comics are great fun and it looks like Wright perfectly captured the energy and vibe of the comics.

It's funny but I was just coming in here to ask if anyone out there minded that Cera's pretty much the same thing in every movie, and this coming from a massive AD fan. Like I just watched "Youth In Revolt" and yep, pretty much same deal for another 90 minutes.
He can keep with it for a little while longer, because he's still young enough to get away with it and nobody else plays awkward youth anywhere near so perfectly.

If the movie is good, I don't see what matters if he's done it before. I just want to see good movies.

Just got back from a sneak view of this. Freakin hillarious flick. Lots of videogame type action sequences and lots of quick cutaway gags too. Seemed everyone in the theatre got a kick out of it too, judging by the laughter. If you liked Kick-Ass and play PS3, you'll dig this movie.
Bonus if you're Canadian, as you'll get alot of the subtle Can-Con references.

download the scott pilgrim game on xbox or ps3. its 10 bucks. i have no idea how closely it follows the comics/movie since this is my first entry in this world, but holy fuck its cool. its all done in something resembling 16 bit graphics/music, and a brawler a la double dragon or the excellent river city ransom (from the nes... one of the best video games that ever existed).
