I can't hang with the RM A&E crowd. I don't even know who 3 of those dudes are.

That those two lists are different for you is what's wrong with America.

Well i would put David Fincher in my personal top 5 would you put him in the all time top 5? Most wouldn't
I think that's a fair point.
My top 5 that just hit me right off the top of my head upon finding this. (listed in no particular order, except for #1)
1. Alfred Hitchcock (aka GOD) 2. David Fincher 3. Tony Scott 4. David Mamet 5. Steven Soderbergh
tony scott? really?
Yea and ya know, the funny thing is, I'm honestly not sure whether I should consider him a guilty pleasure or not But I admit I'm a total sucker for his style, I think he's the best director of dramatic action over the last 20 or so years.
Fine! don't put Spielberg. All the guy really needed to make was "Schindler's List" and "Saving Private Ryan", but fine! "Close Ecounters" was great and so was "jaws". All because he introduced the blockbuster he is TERRIBLE. OH NO! Fuck that! He is great. He is going to make the Lincoln picture with Liam Neeson and he will arrive at his great days again. Kubrick is great, but don't give Spielberg shit because he is popular. And I don't even like "E.T."
And I'm drunk. Frank would know what I'm talking about. Shit...here is to frank...im drunk
