wtf?
The irony is that one of my favourite movies I consider a novelle vague, but its american, called Lost in Translations, Sofia Coppola achieved what no cocky french director could ever achieve. A novelle vague with a true human warmth.

This is hilarious. You place Sofia Coppola above Godard and Truffaut. Your opinions are hereby forever deemed meaningless.
edit: and come on, dude. If you really consider "Lost in Translation" to be anything even remotely approaching Nouvelle Vague, you should really get yourself more educated on what Nouvelle Vague actually is.

LOL. Right.
so what are the Almadovar flix you like?
Well, off the top of my head, Mujeres Al Borde de Una Crisis Nerviosa (I have absolutely no idea what the english title for it was), Hable con Ella ("Talk to Her") and Carne Tremula ("Live Flesh", I believe?).
I like a few of his movies just fine, but he certainly falls into the "overrated" category. Especially around this neck of the woods.

Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown....glad you mentioned Live Flesh. that's my fave!
i can see how people would think Spiderman 3 was crap ( i dont ) but to say the first one is crap to me, is insane, conisdering how long it took to get to the screen and they captured the three main characters to a T (goblin armor not withstanding)
