My husband is pretty excited because is dad and Robert Graysmith are pals. He wrote us:

"Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo and Jake Gyllenhaal are set to star in Zodiac. Mark will play the lead investigator, Robert a reporter and Jake will portray Graysmith.
What is actually more exciting is that David Fincher is directing.....

Yea, I've been excited about this one for a while. I really like Gyllenhaal, and David Fincher, so this promises to be one I make a trip to the theatre for. Also looks like a cool story, I love the serial killer film genre. Most likely my favorite.
I hate to be the one to say this, but ive been reading a lot of positive reviews. Some call it "brilliant", a kind of thriller hollywood rarely makes anymore. Reason why I hate saying it is because I hate going into a film with high expectations and then being let down. I'm sure you do too, but I just thought I'd tell you it's gettting good reviews. So I'm pumped

fincher hasn't made a bad film since he started making good films. I'm seeing this Friday and I suspect it will be quite well made.

yeah... even Panic Room is pretty watchable. I have a feeling this will be an excellent addition to his already strong catalog, if not a step up.

My girlfriend saw this at an advanced screening and she was disappointed. She said it was a good movie but was about 30 minutes too long. I'll see it this weekend to see if I agree.

No one wants to see this with me this weekend.

Go by yourself.
That is the current plan. My wife said if no one else wants to she'll go. I'm kind of confused that she's not interested in this one, she likes all of Fincher's movies. This may be a sign of poor trailers/ad campaign. I don't know.

Yeah, my girlfriend is doing the same nonsense to me... she likes all Fincher's movies, she has an unhealthy attraction to Gyllenhall, yet she wants nothing to do with this movie. I don't understand women. She can go suck a cock.
