I have a few ideas...

1. The Night Side Of Nature- my title is taken from a book that came out in the 1850s about various hauntings in America. It would loosely be based off of the true story of Professor William James of Harvard and Professors from England who embarked on a three decade old crusade to prove life after death with mediums in the 19th/20th century. It would be "All the President's Men" type narrative with the suspense of Hitchcock and Spielberg. Thomas Newman score with Roger Deakins cinematography

2. Untitled Teen Film- My Teen Film class motivated me to think about crafting an unusual teen film that was smart and inventive, in the fashion of "Donnie Darko" and "Rivers Edge". I have disturbing ideas for it. It would be black comedy, with a little horror, and a little drama.

3. The Impaler- This film would be of course about the true story of Dracula (Vlad Dracula). It wouldn't follow his life exactly, but follow a group of men in 15th century Romania who are plotting to storm his famous castle on the hill side and kill him. It would be just like Stoker's Dracula, but told true to history rather than myth. And imagine the men walking among the impaled heads of Vlad's victims that lie on the outskirts of the castle property. I love that vision for cinema

Anyone else have ideas?

I've actually been toying with the idea of making a documentary this summer or maybe next about the ' extreme sport' of stunt pogo sticking, aka XPogo. Every summer, XPogoers from all over the country get together at a different place every year to pogo and have competitions and stuff. They call it Pogopalooza, and this summer is number five. The idea at this point is to go out there and film these guys pogoing and do interviews with them about their history with the sport, their plans for it, and their dreams for it. I'd also maybe want to try to interview some pogo manufacturers and stuff like that.

Other ideas include a screenplay I keep trying to write which is like a personal diary in screenplay format, and with a full narrative. I keep ending up with something way too close to Adaptation though.

And If I were ever to become a filmmaker with some real resources I'd want to make an Odyssey/western based on the true life of a Texas Ranger from a long time ago. I read a book about him that I think could be a really fun, really cool movie.
Also, I've always wanted to do a remake of Sam Peckinpah's Straw Dogs.

When I see Odyssey/Western and Texas Ranger, I think of the Gunslinger from the Dark Tower Series. Which is cool.

And I would hope you'd remake Straw Dogs. I wasn't too enthralled with the original. Although that rape scene

I've always thought I could do horror movies much better than the current ones. It would be all about the atmosphere. I'd have no music. Silence is much more uncomfortable. It'd be a complete mindfuck instead of gore. And the ending would have no resolution. Something that makes you afraid to leave the theatre and go back outside. It'd stay in your thoughts for a long time

If I had the necessary talent and resources, the novel Sabriel really needs a film adaptation. And not in a cutesy Disney way.

Probably a screen version of one of the post-Ian Fleming Bond novels.
