...and no, not for more of those Bee Movie shorts.
Sources tell PageSix.com that the 53-year-old comedian is in talks for a new series on his old net. The show is being pitched as "just like Curb Your Enthusiasm, but with Jerry, instead of Larry."
We guess it's better than a show about nothing!
The series, which is aiming for a June premiere, will be set in New York and will feature Jerry Seinfeld playing himself in an exaggerated reality. The whole thing is a bit confusing for us — if Larry David in Curb was what would have happened had Seinfeld been called Costanza, what happens when Seinfeld goes Curb?
Thank goodness that as we speak, NBC is hiring people to answer these tough questions.
Will you watch a new Seinfeld show?

Ill watch it but really Jerry was the least funny character on Seinfeld by A LOT. most of the times he was painfully UNfunny. it was everyone else who made that show

You have a decaf cappuccino? I don't think we have that. Well, that's a little strange.

My face is all craggly, it's crinkly! It's from all that smoke. You've experienced a lifetime of smoking in seventy-two hours. What did you expect? Emphysema, birth defects, cancer. But not this. Jerry, my face is my livelihood. Everything I have I owe to this face. And your teeth, your teeth are all brown. Look away, I'm hideous.

I'm probably biased because I don't like this show nearly as much as a lot of people, but I thought Elane was the least funny character I'd ever seen. Jerry was really good if he was interacting with the right people, but George and Kramer were fantastic.

No sitcom, baby!!
Sorry, Seinfeld fans, report is false NBC and Jerry Seinfeld shot down a New York Post report Friday that the comic was in talks with the network about a new sitcom. The report, citing no sources, said Seinfeld would play himself in a New York series similar to "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
"There's nothing to it," said NBC spokeswoman Rebecca Marks.
Seinfeld's spokeswoman, Elizabeth Clark Zoia, also said the story was completely false.
"We appreciate the enthusiasm, however," she said

It's funny that you say that because since the DVDs have come out, my evaluation of each actor's talent comedically has changed. I used to think Jerry carried the show but that's the case at all. In most cases, he just hangs back and lets everything happen to the other three.
Also, after seeing him in interviews and outtakes, I find Kramer a lot less funny than I used to. He takes himself far too seriously and the humor doesn't match up. Don't get me wrong, he's funny...but he's not the genius he thinks he is. At the same time, I've come to really appreciate George and Elaine's talent as actors. Both can be annoying sometimes, but I appreciate their skill. Honestly, these days Kramer is the least interesting.

Jerry's problem to me is hes strictly a stand up comic, and as an actor he looks so uncomfortable in his manerisms and reactions. you can tell hes ACTING in everything he does. his expressions and voice are almost over the top in the smallest of situations.
he was best reacting to the others in his "you really are an asshole" kinda way. especially with the women he dated, the disdain he had for them was hilarious

I like them all. I think Kramer is my favorite, but I don't have outtakes from the DVDs to go back and look at. I do agree that Jerry wasn't that great with the acting. I still found him funny though.

It's embarrassing to watch the first few seasons as Jerry is visibly doing something he can't(act). And it really annoys me. Like he sometimes smiles at someone's reactions instead of reacting to them in character. I really dig the show, but I can only imagine how good it would've been if an actor had been hired to play Jerry.

i think he got a lot better as the series went on. the first few seasons he couldn't act for shit, that's why george had all the girlfriends back then

so what if he couldnt act? it was a sitcom. half the time that made those scenes even funnier. jerry was like the qb on the show. he set people up for great jokes. the whole cast was amazing. kramer and george probably prompt the most laughs, but jerry is clearly the oil that kept the engine running.
