Sweeney Todd (April 1st)
God, that movie sucked.
haha boy are you fucking wrong
Well, I guess it's okay if you like lots of boring, uninspired, forced musical numbers.
I will admit there are an excessive amounts of musical numbers, but I loved the story and the atmosphere. The atmosphere mostly, because it's Tim Burton

Yeah, but I could get the same atmosphere in pretty much any other Tim Burton movie, and without the crappy musical elements. Not to mention the supremely bland and predictable narrative...

Well no kidding it's predictable, it's Tim Burton, always thinking about style over substance. But his style is fun to watch

Is La Chinoise a Criterion? Or is it finally getting a U.S. release?

I saw this last night, and really liked it. I hope the DVD has some good extras on it, I'd love some more background about the story and the making of the movie.
