I'd never heard of him until I stumbled onto A Dirty Job in the audiobooks at the library. It was pretty fuckin' funny. Anyone read his stuff?

I've only read Lamb and Blood Sucking Fiends. The latter is rough and you can tell he was a new writer. Lamb, however, was hilarious. The mental image of a zen kung foo Jesus is a good one.
Did he read the book for audio? I may check out his recent stuff for a road trip coming up.
I read "Island..." It was pretty entertaining, but i never really got around to picking up any of his other stuff. make of that what you shall.

No, it was read by Fisher Stevens, but he did an excellent job. I'm sure the naration was responsible for 80% of my enjoyment.

I like this guy. I've read Coyote Blue which I thought was very funny, Bloodsucking Fiends also good, and Practical Demonkeeping, which I liked but not as much.

Finished Lamb. Meh.
Finished Bloodsucking Fiends. Loved it!
Now I've started Coyote Blue.

I didn't care for Coyote Blue. It wasn't bad.
I just finished You Suck, and I didn't like the ending at all! I DID like Jared and Abby Normal.

oddly enough, I just read Lamb last month. the first 2/3 or so were great. i wish the irreverent tone would have continued through to the end.
