Massively disappointed in that one. Im not sure why though. I actually don't think ive been able to finish the film. I know us Americans have different tolerance for story building and character development....

But this just took...well..it was just....boring and uninteresting

Carnage. One of the most enjoyable character films I've ever seen.

Saw Lincoln yesterday. The ending was a little sudden and mishmashed, but overall I really liked the movie. .

Admirable job on an enormous and pretty intimidating topic. Not sure anyone besides Daniel Day Lewis couldve pulled off that role. Tommy Lee Jones was also excellent. Wasn't excited about Sally Field.

Animal Kingdom.
Can't help feeling a little dissapointed. Reminds me a little of Snowtown but less gruesome and less interesting.

yea, i heard good things about this film and while watching it i was waiting for these good things to show themselves.

Young Mr. Lincoln (1939)

I always loved Henry Fonda, but he surprised me here. Maybe they did an admirable job making him look like a young Abe, I don't know, but it was a nice performance.

Punch Drunk Love

Pretty good, hard to believe it was the same guy who made the Master and There Will Be Blood. Don't think it was on that level but definitely a pretty top notch movie.

I wouldn't say it's PTA's "best" work, but it's probably my favorite.

i've only seen three of his movies. i don't want to besmirch the noble act of ranking by offering such a paltry list.

that stunt casting would draw less attention to itself than jonny greenwood's scores

Yes I will. I also have a friend who's a big Cormac fan and i'd like to send it to him.
