when i was growing up my mom and grandma would watch this on a daily basis (and since we only had one tv, i eventually got hooked for awhile too). josh and reva, the spauldings, roger thorpe, the bauers...all legendary. in recent years it has declined but it is still watchable. but, its been announced that in september after 57 years on tv, and longer on radio, the longest running soap and longest running drama in tv and radio history will no longer air due to "low ratings"

supposedly procter and gamble is looking into broadcasting it elsewhere, including taking it online if necessary... but weekdays at 3pm just won't feel the same. what could they ever replace such a legendary show with? damn you, cbs
