imdb is usually too light on movies. rotten tomatos is harsher i think.

for example, i watched get smart the other day, it was lame. anyways imdb gave it 7.1, rotten tomatos gave it a 53%

Well I've heard repeatedly now of a site called Flixster, several of my online friends have started pages there and like I'll occasionally get an email saying something about you might like some of the latest movies one of your friends has recently picked, or something like that but I've yet to ever start up my own page on it myself.

I use IMDB because its so popular, so many other people also have ratings there. I also like the ten-star system. I just wish there was a way for me to see a page with all of the movies by a director or with an actor, which I've rated.

like you, i'm looking for something more interactive. netflix is okay, rotten tomatoes is kinda blah, but i haven't tried imdb yet.
