Wow.
I just watched this and it's quite the spectacle. I didn't "get" a lot of it, but I am impresed by the ambitious beauty of the whole production. The main points are painfully clear, and the humour is spot on (making the people pay for their own torture and interrogation because it is costly "information retrival"). A lot of the transitional/dream scenes were too trippy for me and kinda lost their meaning by drowning in their own pretentious symbolism. Same goes for the ending. Nonetheless, it's one of the best dystopia movies I have ever seen and it doesn't fall into teh cliche'd, 1984 wannabe mode that many films in that genre do.
It's worth watching, if only for all the wild visuals.

I am under the undeniable impression that everything Terry Gilliam touches turns to gold. Well, this is true of the movies that he directs... All of them that I've seen are incredible.

Does it have any relation with my country or is some metaphor?

its a great dark comedy about high school... i was amazed by how good it is... and i've never been too into teen comedies or 80's movies, but this was perfect
