How bad are these movies nowadays? After seeing Walk Hard and The Comebacks, I have completely given up on trying to watch these movies anymore. From what I can remember, Airplane, Scary Movie 1, Robin Hood Men In Tights, Not Another Teen Movie are the only quality ones. The rest are dreadful. They are becoming what horror movies are........basically the same movie over and over again.

Oh and my favorite spoof movie is Wacko but I bet nobody even remembers it.

I think the problem is that there is an over abundance of them now. It used to be that you'd see one every couple of years- between Brooks-Naked Gun-and the Hot Shots movies. They all were going after totally different movie cliche's. Where as the ones now all seem to be going after the same targets, and all seem to be starring Anna Faris.

It's very rare that I ever turn off, or walk out of a movie, but these new spoof movies are horrid. I couldn't finish watching Meet the Spartans, Epic Movie, and Date Movie. The first Scary Movie was good, but the rest were either totally shitty, or just funny every now and then. These movies need to stop because they are way beyond wearing out their welcome.

I actually enjoyed Walk Hard though. The Drug scenes alone were worth the price of admission.

Christopher Guest and crew do a good job at this.

Yeah no shit. If you wanted to list good spoofs you should have just said Mel Brooks's catalog. Men In Tights, Spaceballs, High Anxiety, Blazing Saddles, History Of The World. All classics. Not Another Teen Movie and Scary Movie 1 do not belong in the same post as them.

Forgot about that one, I completely agree. I know Scary Movie and Teen Movie are not as good at the other ones, I was just saying those are the only spoofs that I like that I could think of right away. The whole genre just needs to end. You can only recycle a joke so many times.

The professional dancers? The best thing about that movie is how accurate it is in displaying these cliches about teen movies.

Scary movie was an insult to the intelligence of people. I've never seen a movie I'd call retarded, except that one.

Not another teen movie, was a good spoof. It's not as good as Mel Brooks spoofs. But I think its better than the other movies you guys are associating with it by a long shot.

I think it's because this level of humor appeals a lot to the younger teen crowd, who see movies the most, and so making spoof movies is an easy dollar. That's why there's no quality ones anymore, because they know the people seeing these movies don't even recognize quality.

Wasn't it with "Not Another Teen Movie" that the Cerina chick (was also in Cabin Fever) first pretty much got on the map in movies? Flashing her tits all over the screen?
