About time they have an owner mode. I was playing Frontpage Sports Baseball 10 years ago and that had owner mode. Baseball video games are an annual birthday present for me
every one always talks about those 19.99 2kwhatever sprots games..i cant play them..they feel like ps1 to me..
id rather spend a few xtra $ on ea..
football was at least as good as madden, the controls took a bit of getting used to...but if everyone wasn't so used to madden, they would see this as just as worthy of a purchase...and college hoops is much better IMO...this is coming from a veteran EA gamer....i'd give baseball a shot

yuck, Every year for like the last 6 i had gotten the "All Star" baseball game.. and usually loved it.. then last year, i decided to get the EA one, and was not a fan. It just doesnt have the pitch control that i enjoy on All Star. You can actually win against the computer on a difficult mode on ALl Star by mixing pitches, changing speeds and locations.

I love this game but there are 2 major major issues I have with it.
1. its either too fucking easy or too fucking hard!!
The Pro level gets to be no challenge very quickly, and then you jump to All Star level and its just insanely impossible to play. Suddenly a ball you hit for a double in PRO turns into you getting thrown out at first from right feild?? come on....theres gotta be an in between
2. I LOVED simulating whole seasons and just playing GM, paying players, drafting, signing....but last yr the addition on the minor leagues and spring training just killed that plan.....to sim one whole year takes about an hour now and then you gotta suffer thru spring training and the dragged out draft stuff.....I know its for the real die hards with time on theor hands but again there should be some middle ground for people like me....maybe we can shut off the minor league system during sim?
there IS a new create a stadium on 05, which will keep me busy for days!! that should be sweet

All Star's system is better. You have a minor league, to store players... but you dont have to do anything with them, like lineups, roster moves or games... you just have players that are there to call up if needed.

that never bothered me..i almost always play someone else one on one..if i play 200 games, ill play 199 against another human
but i know what you mean..madden is like that too..
i love the hr derby, although it is tough if you dont have an incredible player like bonds

I wish they had a Sim Stadium game like they do Sim City or Roller Coaster Tycoon.....I would never ever leave the house.
Baseball Tycoon.....you make the teams, you build the stadiums, you run the league....holy shit, this would be the best game ever!!
Um. There are hardcore baseball sims, dude. You play the GM and/or coach. You can build the stadiums, all the teams, run the league, everything. It's all text- and menu-based, though. No graphics, really. But it's so much fun.
