The teaser trailer is now up and goddamn does it look awesome. Eli Roth is emerging as a real badass and I can't wait to see this sick puppy, coming just in time for the holidays. :D

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this project check out the recently opened http://www.hostelfilm.com/.

I'll definitely be checking it out if I get the chance.

I have a feeling the three of us will be the only posters in this thread for a while. But yeah, I think this looks alot better than Cabin Fever, which I liked alot. Hopefully no random "Pancakes!!" guys in this one, though.

Haha, I thought the Pancakes thing was so funny. Completely random and pointless, but funny. And while I loved Cabin Fever, I had no idea Eli Roth had that much clout. I was very surprised to see his name in the title of the picture, but I can definitely appreciate a guy who's proud to attach his name to his work.

I saw the trailer for this with Saw 2. It looks great.

Although, the "inspired by true events" thing freaked me out a bit, since I do tend to stay in hostels when I travel.

Yeah, Tarantino is a producer on this one.

The chainsaw is pretty classic. Did you see the German poster? Much better than the US one they're using.

Yeah, foreign posters are almost ALWAYS better than domestic ones. This country needs to grow some balls. Although, the drill in the mouth poster looks a bit too much like Saw.

Funny, I think the US poster reminds me too much of Saw and would prefer the other one.

I think the current poster situation has a lot to do with the MPAA not allowing blood, violence, etc on movie posters. Remember that the original Saw II teaser poster with the fingers was banned by them.

Yeah, COUGHfascistsCOUGH.

And now that I think about it, they do both remind me way too much of Saw. That's not a good thing.

Well I don't think the movie will, but can you blame Lion's Gate for trying to repeat the sucess of their highest grossing films? I think they'll try to promote this much the same way they did with the Saw films.

Oh yeah, I definitely don't think the movie will be at all. And yeah, I can see where they're coming from. I can't wait to see the shock on the faces of the teeny-boppers thinking they're in for another Saw.

This looks like a mix of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Audition, Motel Hell, and god knows what else. I can't wait.

They had a poster at my local cinema. I almost shit myself when I saw it, as it was outside with all the now playing posters. I kind of did a double take and thought "Holy fuck, it's playing now???" Then I realized it was only a coming soon poster. :x Regardless, the poster was really badass. It had a guy wearing a leather mask, sitting in a recliner, and holding a chainsaw in a position that makes it look like his penis. Craziness.

*EDIT: Here it is:

And shit, I thought that one was cool...then I saw the newer international posters...

Goddamn foreign countries with their cool shit. :x

I don't know man, the US chainsaw poster isn't half bad, it reminds me of the original posters for TCM. The foreign posters are always a bit more ruthless though. I can't wait to see this movie, it's going to be great.
