Fox Renews Fringe For 'Exciting and Climactic' Fifth and Final Season

This is good news no matter what universe or timeline you live in: Fox has renewed Fringe for a fifth and final 13-episode season.

Tonight's episode was pretty great.

Spoiler: show
The scene with the conversation between Walter/Walternate just before they shut the machine down was brilliant.

So... you know... how there are trailers at the end of each episode? I liked last night when they said "shocking twists you won't believe" and then go on to have dialogue that says:

Spoiler: show
William Bell is .... (too much spoiler even for the spoiler tag)

holy cow, the show just doesn't know how to stop. The 13th episode next season is going to be mind-blowing at this rate.

Not too bad, but not mind blowing. The interrogation scene of the dead woman was pretty cool.

The way her eyes were moving really creeped me out.

like broken iris said, not mind blowing, but sets up nicely for the final season. They have a real opportunity here to create some pretty fucking amazing tv next season, hope they don't blow it.

The bullet that came out of Olivia's head was the same bullet her daughter was wearing around her neck in the future. So she may not be dead in that future even though she died which fulfilled September's prediction that in all version of the future she must die. I can't believe that sentence even makes sense.

The one thing I was bummed out about was how Walter said she "should" be normal now - I loved Olivia's new-found powers and would love to see more. When she killed Charlotte it was so badass.

In that "future" episode, didn't they say she was one of the team members encased in amber?

So, at this point, is the original timeline (where Peter came from when he was in the machine) pretty much gone and never to appear again?

Yeah, that's one thing I don't understand either.

The original timeline was sponsored by Ford.
