I'm watching this for the first time right now. I'm enjoying it so far. Although I need to do homework, so I'll probably stop watching.

God, 5 episodes in and I still can't decide if I really like it or not. There is a bit of a similarity to most of the shows that others have already commented on, how the stories generally go and are resolved, and it's not a good point. Also you have to wonder when eventually they'll get into the "will they or won't they" possible romance territory for Joshua Jackson and the girl. She is damn cute but I'm just not sure she's that good of an actress.

Tonight was my first episode of this show, and I liked it. Although my favorite character was the guy who had the powers, and he won't be back.

I think the show is slowly getting better as time goes on.

I guess Abrams is a Battlestar Gallactica fan since the storyline with John in Olivia's head is very reminiscent of Six in Baltar's head. There's alot worse shows to steal ideas from.

Did anyone else spot The Observer walking out of the elevator just before its fall? I geeked out because I took it as a challenge to spot him in every episode.

It's bizarre, I'm not sure I've ever experienced this before, going as far as all 5 of the first episodes of a new TV show and yet still not being entirely sure if I ultimately like it enough to go for the long haul. :| Anna Torv is looking cuter to me every week, she's got a great smile, but again, she needs to loosen up with her acting.

This past week was definitely the most over the top they went with Walter's character so far with the whole "see, he's so out of touch and off an inappropriate with everything he says, that you just gotta love him!"

I think my problem is the tone of the show. It can't decide what it is. It's got alot of great ingredients, and on paper I bet it looks swell. But what's it's lacking is a consistent tonality and vision from whoever the show-runner is. It ain't Abrams, he doesn't run anything, he launches stuff. Well, except for that new Trek movie he's directing.

Anyway, to me the show is a mishmash of inspiration and ideas, none of them gelling.

I only just now watched last week's episode. Anybody else wondering exactly how it is that a 9 year old Olivia puts a couple of bullets in an unarmed man and didn't do any time for it? I realize her stepfather had been beating her mother, but from her story, she wasn't in immediate danger when she shot him. WTF?
