I know what you mean. Most famous screenwriters are directors too, so it won't be exclusively on writers. I can only of two non-directing writers of hand- Paul Schrader and Charlie Kaufman, and that writer who always work with the Trainspotting director and Ewen McGregor. Can't think of his name but I read an article about that trio.
If there's a tournament, we'll have to make some sort of rule that writer-directors are welcomed.
BTW, I'm not sure why I used the word "Favorite"??? It could be RM Screenwriters or RM Foreign Language Film...etc..
