Whoa. Pretty good episode right there.

That Clay-Gemma scene at the end was pretty intense. Also, interesting twist could be happening with the blacc sherriff guy.

Spoiler: show
It's the norm. He'd be the third sheriff to go to their side.

This season has been good so far, and tonight's episode is definitely a highlight. This is kind of an incomprehensible rant:
Spoiler: show
Finally, finally, finally, Clay is the evil we've always known him to be. It's a really interesting kind of evil because yes, he killed Piney and moved to kill Tara, but it's not at absolute and all-powerful. Clay is in way over his head with the Galindo cartel right now, having lost control of their business and now even of the Tara situation. He is evil backed into a corner and feeling helpless and that just makes him all the worse. Great stuff, especially with Gemma also leaving his side for the first time. She took an episode or two too long to realize that it was too late to save Clay, but I'm glad she finally has. The Teller-Morrow family has a whole new dynamic and I don't see how all three of Jax/Clay/Gemma can come out of this alive.
I also wouldn't count Opie out of this. Jax brought Opie more into the center of things in this episode when he told him about how he's leaving the club. This could push Opie deeper into the club and against Jax, or the opposite. Especially since Clay has never been punished at all for Donna's death and since Clay just killed Piney, Opie's dad. I can see Opie rebelling against Jax at first until things start coming out about the issues Clay and Piney were having and suspicions about the murder are raised (assuming anyone ever finds Piney's body).

Spoiler: show
yeah, i think opie's the one who ends up killing clay. the writers don't want that blood on jax's hands.

Killing Clay would be the easy way out, but it will be interesting to see how this all plays out if they don't kill him.

I don't know, they are really setting up for Clay to take a fall soon.

he'll start a rival club or split the club or something. one way or another, jax will be the head of some bike gang by the end of this season.

Doubt it will happen, but this season finale has the opportunity to be the set up for a final season, ending it next year.

I hope that happens. The only thing that will ruin this show is too many seasons.

pretty sure Ive read Kurt Sutter say he has the series planned out to go to an 8th season, and I know its been renewed for at least 2 more right?

maybe the upcomming seasons will see clay gone and Jax try to take the club away from guns like his daddy wanted?
