Am I the only one excited to see this? I loved this book back in high school. And Emma Watson as Sam!

Here's the soundtrack:

1. The Samples – Could It Be Another Change
2. Dexys Midnight Runners – Come On Eileen
3. Galaxie 500 – Tugboat
4. New Order – Temptation
5. The Innocence Mission – Evensong
6. The Smiths – Asleep
7. Cracker – Low
8. Sonic Youth – Teenage Riot
9. XTC – Dear God
10. Cocteau Twins – Pearly-Dewdrops’ Drops
11. Michael Brook – Charlie’s Last Letter
12, David Bowie – Heroes

And the trailer:

I'm pretty excited, myself. Reading the book for the first time right now. I was afraid I wouldn't like it now that I'm well out of high school and into my 30s. But it holds up. I really, REALLY like it.

So, yeah. Looking forward to the movie.

Loved the book back when I was in high school. Will see the movie but can't imagine it being as great as the book was the first time I read it.

I'm looking forward to it. I had a weird moment where I had to put the book down because I felt like I was writing it.

Not a bad soundtrack. I've actually never read that book.

The book's plot synopsis reads like a bad season of Degrassi Junior High.

I'd suggest reading it, but I think you might be too old for it to have any connection to you

SHOCKED that Death Cab isn't on the soundtrack & no one has horn rimmed glasses on.

I've never heard of this. Am I slightly too old or something?

Probably. The book came out in like 1999 and was perfect if you were a pussy in high school.

The book was actually recommended to me by some fine people in the Arts & Entertainment: Pearl Jam chatroom on America Online.

I bought the book thinking it was Jacob Dylan's biography.
