House of Leaves!
tell me more
I had to refesh my memory a bit. But it's a finely layered story with multiple narratives and countless footnotes that tell a tale about a house with a massive labyrinth within it. The external dimensions of this house do not correlate with the internal dimension. The house has grown and continues to grow. As the story progresses an entrance is found that leads to a strange, labyrinth like inner area. Insanity comes to those that venture into this massive dark section of staircases and corridors.
It's interesting, if nothing else. And it's very cool how the narratives are interwoven. The author also pokes fun at literary/academic criticism with the abundant use of footnotes, some of which lead to nothing while some lead to completely superficial and unnecessary information.

how about DEATH BED, THE BED THAT EATS PEOPLE
does that count?
This is a good one, only it's DEATH BED: THE BED THAT EATS. No "PEOPLE" on the end, presumably because the bed would eat other things besides humans if the circumstances to do so arose.

The only hard thing is deciding what to read and when, other than that it's a very quick read and a very good one as well. The periphery stuff wasn't that exciting to me but the main story is excellent and very, very scary. Definitely check it out.

Word. I've been looking for something new to read; I've got a ton of books in my room that I haven't read but that I'm not really interested in, so I'll check this out.
