This deserves its own thread. I've been keeping an eye on this for a while but I'm really starting to get excited about this now. Hopefully this time all the features will remain in the game because this is shaping up to be one of the top games on the horizon. I was surprised by the announcement of a co-op mode, this is going to be sweet.
I'm posting some videos from GDC demonstrating co-op

I hope they focus on living up to the expectations / hype that Fable 1 failed to live up to. Fable 1 was a good game, however, I bought into the hype and was expecting one of the best games ever. I was disappointed.

I'm moist with anticipation for this, I didn't really catch any of the hype for the first game, my housemate just came home with it one day, I was hooked on it!

I can't wait for this. Any word on the charcter creation, yet? Based on the whole family aspect of the game, I imagine it would have to fairly deep like Elder Scrolls.
I'm also really looking forward to Fallout 3. Maybe even moreso than Fable.

IGN gave it an 8.8. The first game may have been one of the most professionally over-rated / over-hyped game of all time. I hope this one lives up to the first title's hype.

I was able to play a little co-op the other day. It is fun but so far it is pretty difficult getting around. If it wasn't for the golden sparkles showing the way to go I would be way lost.

How does this compare to Oblivion? My wife who likes fantasy/RPG loved Oblivion and thinks she might like this.
I haven't played too much but it is hard to compare to Oblivion. Most people may think they are similar games but I view them as two different approaches in a similar genre. From what I've heard it has a short main story and you'll spend most of the time doing other activities (family, property, etc). I don't know for sure, but I doubt it has the number of side quests and places to explore as Oblivion.
