Ladyhawke is a movie where during the day Mr. X is a man and Ms. Y is a hawk. At night, Mr. X is a wolf and Ms. Y is a woman. They only get to see one another as man and woman for a brief second each day.
I've never seen the movie but have read about it and how it's related to Zelda.

IGN: Is the storyline of Twilight Princess based on the movie Ladyhawke?
Eiji Aonuma: I've heard about the movie Ladyhawke, but I've never actually seen it. People have asked me about it, but obviously I don't have any inspiration from it since I've never seen it. That being said, this time around the reason that Link transforms into a wolf is completely different from what I understand is going on in that movie.
IGN: The world in Twilight Princess is huge. How will Link be able to get around? Is it just by horse, or can he boat and fly, too?
Eiji Aonuma: Oh, no, it wouldn't just be the horse. There are many other ways to move about the game.
IGN: Is there an animal that you can fly?
Eiji Aonuma: You might be able to [laughs].
Just picturing Link flying on a LotR inspired eagle is making me shiver.

They have about 40 video clips posted now on IGN. I watched like the first 10...then had to do something else. I went back this morning to see the rest, but then I thought to myself "fuck it...I don't want to ruin the surprise."

i'm torn. i can't afford a wii. i could get it for the cube, but i get the feeling that would really be missing the whole point.
I think it'll still be as good as it could get for the Gamecube. Nothing to be ashamed of.
I'm contemplating getting it for Cube too someday. There are (unconfirmed) rumors that the difficulty will be scaled back slightly on the Wii release to compensate for the Wii-mote, etc. I'm love to learn if thats actually true first though.

Wow, I totally forgot about that (that post is really old). I want to be surprised so I haven't read up on the game a whole lot lately. Are there still plans for Link to be able to fly around?
