I'll be going to this solely because of my infatuation with Gervais. Anyone going because they love Greg Kinnear?

with all of the interest this thread has generated, i feel it my obligation to say that i enjoyed the film. not a brilliant script or anything, but gervais is as good in it as he is in the office or extras.

How is this? Looks good thanks to Gervais. Love his work. Can't wait to get the chance to rent this.

you must be asking me then?
it's just fun to watch gervais act. i don't know what it is. even in his standup, the way he portrays hitler talking to neitzche about killing millions of jews as if he's a child telling a parent he has broken a window is just mesmerizing.
due to solely to gervais, i would say this movie is on par with "about a boy." it's a date movie that is fun to watch.

You or anyone else who has seen the movie and happens across the thread. You said about what I expected. Still can't wait to see it. :D I hope he gets more lead acting roles.

It wasn't laugh out loud funny, but very amusing indeed. I enjoyed it, particularly the parts where he was going to puke.

I enjoyed this. I agree, it's just fun to watch Gervais. And Tea Leoni is great, as always.

I thought just about every scene with Gervais was hilarious. I rented it and watched it 4 times (once with commentary). Granted, I was bored too.
