What? That was awful, without a doubt the worst episode I've ever seen. It was like new-Simpsons bad, and that's really bad. It was very dissapointing, but after American Dad, I wasn't expecting much from MacFarlane

i liked it overall, but i didn't like the whole mel gibson part. that's been done to death and any other attempts at it will just pale in comparison to the south park episode that did it to absolute perfection.

New Family Guy was as great as its always been and new episodes of The Simpsons, to quote Chad Pennington, "is a privilege, not a right" so be happy with that.
You are too judgemental, they're just cartoons shows. What were you expecting?

Pretty good episode, not their best but not bad for the first show in like 3 years. But what the fuck do i know, i just watched the South Park episode with Bat-Dad and consider that one of the best episodes ever.

The opening segment was funny. But it only took about five minutes of the show to remind me that I was watching The Simpsons ten years ago w/o the wit and charm.
It's a funny show, but I can't help thinking of The Simpsons while I watch. And that's telling.

The Simpsons never seems to push the envelope, it's way too safe for my tastes. It seems as if they go out of their way NOt to offend a particular celebrity, race, political issue etc.. This is why i love South Park and Family Guy. They take the jokes all the way and more.

I agree w/ you to a point. The Family Guy, however, will never make me feel "smart" while laughing hysterically, which is what the classic Simpsons episodes still do.

I liked the Pinocchio bit alot, as well as the English Porn one. Pretty good episode overall, but probably not their greatest. Much better than anything the Simpsons has done in recent years.
I fail to get the Simpsons comparisons, personally. They have two very different styles. Simpsons used to be more satirical, veiled humor, and it actually seems as if they're trying to copy Family Guy's outrageous style of humor now.

Simpsons, at its best, will be better than any Family Guy episode -- at least, based on episodes to date. Let's keep things in perspective: w/o The Simpsons, Family Guy would not exist.
Recent Simpsons still has bite: remember when Family Guy came out of the copier...?
