Post subject: Simpsons Peripheral Character Tourney: Lenny wins!

In this tournament we will be drafting characters from the television show The Simpsons. However, you will not be allowed to draft Bart, Lisa, Maggie, Marge, or Homer. Anyone else is good. Also, animals in the show count as characters. Since we have 12 people playing eventually we will be left with three people in the tournament. When that happens first we will vote off our least favorite of the three, and then vote for a champion between the remaining two. Players will have a 12 hour window to make their pick on weekdays, and there will be no time limit on the weekend. If you count up all the recurring and one time characters in the show their are hundreds, so we can get away with doing 6 rounds. 8 will be a bit much and I want to get to the voting before people lose interest.

I think anyone with the top 5 picks inherently get a large advantage because not only will the get 5-7 of the periphery, they'll also be the only ones with a member of the "main" family.

for me, bart and homer are probably the only 2 i'd even take in the first round

We'll work out the number of rounds once we get people signing up and we can do this with either 8 or 16 people. I'd like to get 16.
