I watched it and thought it was really good... I usually try to avoid A&E except for Cold Case Files.

So I've never watched this show until tonight, and I'm sure there have been many stories about eating disorders on before and others wouldn't be shocked by it, but wow, the story that was on tonight with bulimia was shocking to me.

I guess because I've never witnessed the actual purging before. This girl was throwing up two to three times a day into large ziplock bags and storing them in her closet for a week then getting rid of them, then starting the cycle all over again. They showed her throwing up and showed the gallons and gallons of stomach contents that she was throwing out. Just, wow.

It's so very sad that her whole existence revolved around planning to binge and purge and how to hide bags of vomit from her husband. It's amazing to think that your mind can destroy you this way.

It was bright green for some reason.

A&E is really starting to build a niche for themselves. Dog the Bounty Hunter, Cold Case Files, Intervention, all those shows about killers and stuff... it's turned from 'everything biography' into 'everything dealing with death, addiction, murder and the judicial process." I like it.

This show'll wear on ya. I think one of the most funny, and disturbing, and probably disturbingly funny ones is the compulsive gambler named... Ruben I think. Hahaha! His screaming and whining was great. I liked the part where they showed footage from his rapping days.

I just watched this show actually. They had on some bulimic hispanic chick and some gay meth addict who fucked 20 guys in one night. Holy shit. Anyway, my friend in the Radio/TV department was an intern on the show. He says everybody who he worked with was cool but the show was basically complete trash. He says he watched all sorts of bizarre tapes people sent in wanting to be on the show, one of which was an "addicted to sex" episode. Just imagine what he saw.

I genuinely want to beat the shit out of that guy and his parents. They had an update episode on him and mom and dad are still paying off his debts! It's no wonder he's as much of a little jackass as he is with parents like that.

He's such a little shit. And the worst thing about it is that he's smart enough to know that the house is against him. The part that stuck out for me is when he weasels his way into his mom's car and she's freaking out. What a cockmaster.

Yeah, he was on, it was pretty sad. He lives with his mother and his mother has control of all of his money because she doesn't want him blowing it all on drugs. They showed him at the bank getting denied access to his money, so he had to call his mother and beg her to call the bank and tell them to give him $200. She did and he disappeared for a day doing meth. He really freaked out when he walked into the intervention. He at first told them he didn't want to go to rehab, but then went. I think it said he left rehab early but was still clean (after six months or so).

I think a new season just started. I've been watching this show with On Demand and it's crazy.

The mention of Tela T. in the other thread made me think of what people perceive as "reality" shows. Pretty much every popular "reality" show out there today is damn far from reality. Crap editing, chosen sound bites, instigated conflict. It's all bullshit.

Then there's Intervention.

I been hooked on this since season 1, particularly in that episode where the girl was cutting herself near her privates and there's little they didn't show. THAT'S reality.
I've known some messed up people in my lifetime, many who's problems I've seen on the show. It's not pretty, it's not glossed over, it's barely censored. It's something alot of people should be watching.

and the cool people over at A&E put up full episodes for us to watch!
Here's the 1st episode of this season. Starts Dec 3rd. this one's about an anorexic. She's brutally skinny.

********************EDIT******************

HOLY SHIT, i shoulda watched that clip before posting it. Emily by far, is one of the worst cases I've ever seen.
Spoiler: show
Gang raped, unloving father, control freak mom, inferiority complex, OCD. This chicks' had a brutal shit kickin. I knew she'd go to treatment, but the follow up blew me away. I knew something was wrong when they showed her by the garden and she's still skinny and lost weight at the treatment centre. And then, A FUCKING FEEDING TUBE??????? That's just insane.
I hope she survives.

I really like this show, but I haven't watched much of it since they switched it to Fridays.

No one did. Thankfully A&E learned their lesson and Intervention is now airing on Mondays.
