Dude me too!! I still remember one night specifically. I was alone in the house watching an episode, and my mom was down the street at a neighbors' house of ours talking with her friend, and I was getting so freaked out by what I was watching, I called her up down there to make sure she was coming home soon I didn't wanna be in the house alone anymore.

The worst things about Unsolved Mysteries is you would watch an episode in re-runs and you knew you would never catch the follow up episode so you would never know what happened!

yeah that is/was the key flaw in watching re runs of the show.

Ohhh you reminded me, actually I would LOVE that I'd been seeing an episode, but seeing a story they'd done before but I didn't know that because I'd never seen it, then as soon as they finish it, they immediately go to "and now a new update!" and I'd be like yea!!

I think it's on Spike but I don't know if they are showing old episodes or new one's.

Bob Stack was just perfect for this show.
He'd be doing a segment on a reunion between a Mother and Daughter and you would still be scared as shit.
haha, yep, that pretty much sums it up. I loved watching this show alone in my room as a kid... but only if my parents were home in case I got scared. Which happened pretty much every episode. heh
I've watched some of the marathons of the "New" Unsolved Mysteries on Spike with Denis Farina as host and it seems like they are using the original stories.
