This looks really interesting, Christian Bale looks like he did a fantastic job, I can't imagine how hard it must have been physically to shoot this film.

I just saw it today. I thought it was great...depressing, but great.
Christian Bale's performance was really good. It was shocking to see how skinny he was, especially after seeing him all beefed up as Batman.

i saw this in theatre and thought it was pretty much tripe. the most interesting thing about the movie was how skinny christian bale was. i still don't know how he's the same person as bruce wayne, but still, when that's the most interesting part of a movie it can't be good.

i thought it was agenius of a movie...yes, its pretty depressing...but poignant at the same time...
directed by the same guy who did Session 9 ( another good, underrated one)
I'd love to find this for rent somewhere. I didn't know the Session 9 guy did it either, I loved that movie.

I saw this while I was visiting Hawaii and talk about a contrast, such a dark and morbid movie. The Dostoevsky theme from Crime and Punishment I thought was interesting, the conscience of a good and intelligent man would drive this very person to confess his crime and throwing in the illusion of a dark side of him self was an interesting addition. I’ve never seen it portrayed in such an atmospherically dark and depressing movie. The one seen in which Bale places the novel “The Idiot” down onto the table in his living room was a nice touch as well. Intense, depressing and enjoyable, that’s how I would describe it.

Spoiler.........
I liked it, the end was a bit of a letdown though. The director kind of failed on the suspense angle to. He made it so obvious that Bale was just crazy from the get go that I never even thought that something more sinister could be afoot. A fun little movie though, and Bale sure put a lot into it.

I just watched this and I'll agree with you totally. While I didn't expect the movie to be as cryptic as Lynch or anything, it was pretty obvious from the beginning that Reznik (the name still kills me) was crazy as hell. Bale's physical performance alone made it interesting and despite several interuptions this evening I got into the movie. I found it to be very depressing though, some of it beyond what was intended I'm sure. An interesting movie and I think I'll have to watch it again.
