On the JAWS board I frequent we had a contest on who could recast Jaws with a 2009 cast....I won with 72% of the votes. Nothing to show for it except bragging rights.

here is my cast:

Quint - Robert Carlyle
Brody - Josh Broline
Hooper - Jason lee
Ellen - helen hunt
mayor - gerald mcraney
hendrix - johnny knoxville
mrs. kintner - kathleen Quinlin
Chrissy - Elisha Cuthbert

I work a desk job & as long as I keep up with everything I have about 4 of my 8 hours free. I'm also writing a screenplay & honing my online chess skills.

i got really scared thinking that this was true. i couldn't imagine a more ill-concieved idea than remaking Jaws.

Jaws is one of those movies where regardless of what point in the story you find it on TV, you stay with it until the end. Its better than just OK.

also the same with terminator. i was flipping through the channels last night and was pissed that it was on, cause i knew i had to watch it all :(
