I thought that too, but then I got another phone with a much larger screen. I'll never go back to an iPhone sized screen. It's very handy for a variety of apps, not just the internet.

That being said, the iPhone is still one of the best phones on the market.

For financial reasons, I prefer to stay a couple of generations behind the curve. With this new one coming out, should I upgrade to an iphone 4 for $99?

The 4S should go down to $99 when this one comes out.

And the Iphone 4 will be free. I'll be upgrading my wife's phone to this because of that.

It's either a happy accident or clever marketing that the first three letters of apple are a-p-p.

The new maps app for iOS 6 looks pretty cool, as does the panoramic camera feature.

pretty bummed that the iphone 4 doesn't support the iOS 6 map feature fully - no turn by turn or flyover. :?

i'll probably just stick with the iOS 5.1.1.

Is there a good bike map app? the regular google maps has bike routes, and I'm assuming they didn't build that into the iOS 6 map app. Or did they?

i know the new apple map app doesn't have transit routes, so i'm guessing no bike routes either.

I love wireless software updates. Makes me feel like flying cars are still in the pipeline.

I only just realised I'm out of contract on my iPhone 4.

Guess I'll order one of these thingies then.

Ordered mine through Telstra today, spenno. No idea when it will be delivered. Will continue to struggle with my wonky home button until then.

YOU TOO?!

I should've ordered one at lunch time when the Telstra website still had stock.

Guess I'll check again tomorrow.

I have a friend who's home button was giving her a lot of troubles. She has a 4. It was magically fixed when she updated to iOS6. Kind of odd.

After two or so years of hammering that home button I'm sure mine is on its last legs.

Apple: The only brand where people complain about features and keep buying the same brand.

A kid at work was going on about how he needed the iphone 5 because the battery in his old one no longer needed a charge. It's just interesting that a company can design a product where you pretty much have to replace the unit in order to change the battery and people keep coming back.
