When you guys read comics, do you look at the pictures first or read the dialogue first? Also, I just read a Spider-Man story drawn by Ditko and I wasn't impressed. Who is the definitive Spider-Man artist/when was the best era for the Amazing title?
For me definitive Spider-Man artist is a toss up between McFarlane and the Romitas.
As far as best era? I'm going to go with the late 80s although alot of the significant storylines of the period crossed over into the other Spider-titles (e.g. Kraven's Last Hunt). Mid-70s is also extremely good, but the older style of storytelling may not appeal to readers used to modern books.
My favorite title/writer is probably John Byrne's run on FF. Is that considered older or newer storytelling?

Byrne's FF is probably my favorite run too. Using that as a baseline, I'd say you'd be good with the 70s ASM.

I got the first of the 5 TPB of Walt Simonson's run on Thor.
When i was collecting i got started late into his run on Thor so it is kind of nice to go back and re read these. I loved all the Asgard action he put into that run.
just finished old man logan.. great stuff.. peeps, is there a sequel/continuation??
i just downloaded all of the hobgoblin issues off the demon.. im only about four books in and theres a shit ton of em..
not that i am aware of but i will keep you in the loop if i hear of anything.
i bought the latests xmen HC, necrosha and second coming. necrosha was meh, while second coming i think was pretty good to read as well as the art. not a huge fan of what happened in second coming but i had already read about it so it wasnt much a suprise

I got the first Graphic Novel for Fables for Christmas. I'm a bit behind on reading some other things so it may take me a minute to get to it but i'm excited to check out that series.

Holy SHIT, why didn't you guys tell me about The Walking Dead?
I haven't seen any of the AMC show at all, but got the first 80 issues off the Demon. I understand the show does a good job with the zombie effects and it's really violent, but it cuts the profanity and sexual content (typical ) Anyway, I think I might be sinking some cash into the trades ... fuckin outstanding stuff.

So the Human Torch is Dead...
they´ll bring him back in six months tops
I say 12 months, just in time for Fantastic Four #600
Plus, we never really see him get "killed" per se. He was overrun and then the gateway closed. For all we know he went super nova, beat back the wave, and is sitting there twiddling his thumbs.

Especially 'cause it always ends in NO THEY WEREN'T DEAD, THEY WERE trapped in another dimension/wandering outer space/zapped back in time or some stupid shit like that.
