I never read the doomsday saga but Knightfall was an awesome storyline. After watching Batman Begins, I'm thinking about ordering Batman: Year One just to see what the translation was like on that one.

i have the first doomsday paperback, artwork was very good, story was fairly well also.

i was at media play the other night and i picked up Avengers Disassembled and Astonishing Xmen (1-6) paperbacks

Disassembled was fantastic, the art was very "dark" and the story, while if you didnt have knowledge of the backstory of wanda, it might not have made sense. it looks to me that the art is focusing away more from the minute details of mcfarlane and lee and back to being able to compliment the storyline

I wish I'd have read Annihilation instead of Civil War. I'm still waiting for the last issue of that series, and it was supposed to be finished in November.

I also skipped on the Planet Hulk storyline, so I have to wait for the trade on that since the LCS is sold out of the first two issues.

It does indeed.

So does Jeff Smith's Captain Marvel (Shazam) book. Because I'm not from the 1940's, I never cared about Shazam. But Jeff Smith was the guy who wrote & drew Bone so I'm going to give this a chance.

Glad to find other comic fans on here... 8)

You know, I have absolutely no idea what happened to my comics. The only ones I can find are those Death of Superman issues that everyone on the planet bought.

Annihilation is really really good. I fucking love cosmic marvel.

What I've read of Planet Hulk is pretty dang good too. Some of the bit characters they have there are awesome.

Spoilers ahead for fans of Spider-Man comics...

Death of Mary Jane

The cause of it is due to be revealed in this week's issue #3, and it's Spider-Man's cum that kills her. I don't have the book, so I ahven't read it yet, but considering recent Marvel stunts, I'm doubtful it's a hoax.

I knew Mary Jane wasn't going to last long after Spider-Man revealed his identity, but I really didn't think it would be radioactive spooge that killed her.

That's why his name is "Batman" and not "Superman".
