Anyone getting into this new Saga comic from Image? It's pretty great. A lot of the Image stuff this year has been awesome. Issue 1 of Americas Got Super Powers was pretty cool as well.

Saga is on my list - I've heard good things. I just plowed through 4 issues of Morning Glories today. It is fantastic - I'll probably be completely caught up by the middle of the week. I can't believe how great Image is generally - I like almost everything of theirs I've read so far.

Really loving the Night of the Owls story so far. Also , J's Brain, you're so right. Image is on fire right now. I don't know how to keep up with everything they are doing. I just subscribed to Thief of Thieves after finding out it's done by Kirkman (Walking Dead) and that AMC has optioned it for a TV show. I'm curious how that comic is.

I'm also really excited for the new DC issues this month like Dial H, Earth 2, and Batman INC.

I started a subscription at midtown comics instead of at the local comic shop. Their discount is just so hard to top but I'll get my comics monthly which will be wierd.

Currently my pull list is : Batman, Batman and Robin, Batman Inc, Nightwing (dropping after next months Night of the Owls issue), Red Hood and the Outlaws (love Jason), Earth 2, Dial H, Saga, Invincible, Thief of Thieves, Walking Dead, and Scarlet Spider.

Anything anyone else recommends from Image? I was tempted to drop Scarlet Spider and pickup Epic Kill but I'm not familiar with the artist or writer.

Didn't see this thread so I'll repost:

I'm reading the following right now:

- Avenging Spider-Man (I'm at issue #3) [Awesome]
- Batman (New 52) [Awesome]
- Teen Titans (New 52) [Awesome]
- Suicide Squad (New 52) [OK]
- Supergirl (New 52) [OK]
- Batgirl (New 52) [Good]
- Walking Dead (I'm at issue #5) [Awesome]
- Invincible (I'm at issue #20) [Awesome]
- Kick Ass (I'm at issue #3) [Good]

I'll make my way through some of the other DC New 52 at some point as well. After a 25+ year break I'm finally reading comics again thanks to my iPad. I'm sorry I ever stopped... any recommendations from the last 25 years that I need to read? I stopped pretty much after those great Batman stories came out in the 80s (Killing Joke, Death in the Family, etc.).

Yeah man the iPad makes comic reading amazing.

How does the iPad display the parts on the comics that take up 2 pages? I'm new getting back into comics so I don't know the term for that

Easy man just turn the iPad sideways! It flips automatically! I use Comic Flow to view them. It's a free app. Comics look amazing. I would occasionally read them on my pc but it annoyed me. It's a real pleasure on the iPad. I have the ipad3 but I bet it looks just as good on older models.

Yeah they need to work on their digital pricing. I'm sure they have huge piracy issues since the digital downloads are the exact same price as the physical comic. The digital should be significantly discounted if they expect people to switch to that format.

Yep same thing with ebooks. They'll kill the industry just like the music guys did.

Never heard of that one but I'll definitely check it out.

Chew is wonderful. From Wikipedia: "It is a story about an FDA Agent who solves crimes by getting psychic impressions by eating things, including people."

The first three issues of Mudman are pretty good too.

I finished 50 Girls 50 (Image). It was pretty good but short - only 4 issues and they weren't all that related. I think they are just scratching the surface here but who knows if it will get another run.

I'm also about 20% of the way through Invincible and totally loving it.

Just bought a tablet with the specific intent to read comics again. Read a few #1s in the last few days but I am really looking forward to starting Final Crisis:

i was disappointed. grant morrison is just too full of himself. i thought the story was very choppy at best.

the problem i have now with dc is all the hardcovers and trades i have purchased no longer mean squat for continuity

I've actually gotten that impression reading about Final Crisis and the whole lead-up and fall-out. But it's only seven issues so not a huge task. Started reading the Sandman series as well, that will take a bit longer.

I just started the Fantastic Four v2 run - it's only 13 issues so not a huge timesink. I love these characters but the first 2 issues weren't anything to get excited about.
