Probably my favorite current show running. And it just got a Peabody. A smart, funny series that does well in the ratings (especially considering it's opposite American Idol) and is popular with the critics too? Who knew? Even my dad watches & likes Modern Family. Which is amazing to me because there's shows that he won't watch because there is a gay character in them. It was way cool seeing most of the adult cast at Mandalay Bay in Vegas when I was there in January. Even got a quick handshake from Ed O'Neil. Am I the only one that is reminded of a young Mila Kunis by the actress playing Haley?

i love this show but i guess its a sign of how shitty telivision sitcoms are these days that people are saying its amazing. this show is nothing compared to seinfeld or arrested development.
they take the gay stereotype and capitalize on it every night. it's hilarious but it's pretty much the same thing every night.
again, i love the show but that's not saying much compared to what else is on TV. i think this is the only sitcom i watch.

I dont think they overdo the "gay stereotype" too too much, and at least its done with humorous lines most of the time.
as compared to say, will and grace, which I cant understand how the gay community wasnt out picketting NBC every single thursday night over. if I were a gay man I would be horribly terrified that thats how heterosexual people viewed me

See, i agree with g2t.. the gay stereotype was over the top as well. like it turned me off instantly.
I do not, on any level, understand the comparisons to Arrested Development. the only similarity is that there is no laugh track.
