hi,i dont know if this is the place for this thread,anyway, a friend of mine is going to the states october 12th,i know it's a special holyday or something there eventought i dont know exactly the name,the point is that i've heard that every store has lower prices that day,i want her to buy me a new ipod becouse mine got broke,i checked besbuy's site,the 160 gb ipod its 249+tax that makes it something around 270,does any one know how much would it be that day more or less?i want to know if it would be a very good deal or i cant wait and save money with less presure becouse of the time i have left till that date.any info will be helpful.

apple is pretty big on christopher columbus, so it'll probably be 1/2 price that day.

You're thinking of black friday, which falls the day after thanksgiving in the US (thanksgiving is on Nov 26th this year). You probably just have your date mixed up with the Canadian thanksgiving.

Ipods don't go on sale very often so you'll find that most places are offering them at $249.
