Anyone else looking forward to this show?

The first episode of the season is up on HBO.com, and it's pretty hilarious. Of the new shows the network is rolling out, this looks like the one with the most potential. Especially after watching John from Cincinatti tonight after the Sopranos finale. ugh.

I'll definitely be tuning in.

I can't wait for this. I caught their One Night Stand on HBO about a year ago and laughed til it hurt.

I don't know. The parts that were funny were very good, but I don't know if it's going to be enough of a payoff to watch the rest of the show. The musical numbers were okay, but too long. Maybe it will get better, I will try to keep watching.

These guys actually get paid for that shit.

Horrible.

I think it's time to cancel my HBO subscription. At least until Curb comes back.

It's completely tongue in cheek. And funny.

but the Tenacious D shorts were 100x funnier. There are so many aspects of this show that are ripping off the D, here's just a few:

2 guitar piece band (bass guitar is still a guitar, folks)
The love triangle (The D did it with with teh spine piercing chick)
The band breaks up (last week, kyle quit the band)
The pycho fan (Lee was better)
The little accoustic diddy played between each scene.

I'm not going to go out of my way to watch this, so I'll most likely catch it On Demand.

I wasn't sure if i liked it after the first episode but now i think i do. It has its moments. Almost like the MTV classic "Austin Stories". Seems to have the same kind of vibe. Plus the one dude with the glasses looks and acts like this guy i used to be friends with
