I LOVED the first Borderlands, but I totally understand why people wouldn't. I love looting, but I wanted more cosmetic type loot that changed my appearance. Also the original felt a bit soulless (I'm not sure how else to describe it). Borderlands 2 blows the original out of the water in every way. I'm only level 13 or so right now but I'm not understanding some of the reviews out there that say this is just more Borderlands. This is Borderlands improved on in every way. The game finally feels epic, and I think that's what they were missing from the first.
Oh and anyone who wants to play on 360 please add me! My gamertag is HardTI. I'm playing the Commando class right now.

I'm about 5 hours into Borderlands and I'm getting pretty bored. Is there any story progression other than side missions and looting?
I still need to play it with a friend in co-op though. That's probably more fun.
Yes the story is definitely starting to go somewhere fun. I'd give it a little more time. At first I thought it was suffering from Borderlands 1 syndrome (basically no story), but the story actually has me wanting to play now. I'm actually torn between doing side missions or doing the next story mission because I want to see what happens next. I think that's a good sign!

Anybody looking for a war strategy game for their iPhone or Android device should check out Great Big War Game. It's like Advance Wars for the GBA only better. $2.99 for a campaign mode with 50+ stages. Plus, a pass-and-play mode and online battles. Crazy good.

Borderlands 2. What a masterpiece. I'm currently trying to make a Zer0 melee build viable. Shit is tough after the first attack from cloak. Ah well, the challenge is nice.

Google just put a few apps and games on sale for 25 cents on Google Play in celebration of 25 million downloads. One of them is World of Goo, which is normally like a $5 game. FIFA 12 is on there as well.

Been playing Fifa 13 for a bit now. Guys actually get tired and cramp up at the end of the games if you run them ragged and don't sub out when necessary. Other than this it feels pretty much the same as last year other than some other minor tweaks...
I just bought Sleeping Dogs (was on sale for $40 new and $35 used)...wont play it until I finish Max Payne 3 single player...2 more chapters to go.
I am also looking at Dishonored and XCOM. I got 100 bucks in Gamestop credit so it's either Dishonored or XCOM sometime soon. i always like to wait for some of these games to come down in price a bit or a couple of used ones to pop up. Not to many games stay at that $60 price point too long these days.
