i'm reading the wiki...says in development they had trouble landing a publisher because folks thought the game was too ambitious. i'm really looking forward to the sequel and its episodes on the orange box.

Oh man, HL2 is going to blow your mind when you get to it. The original will probably feel a bit dated now but it was way ahead of it's time back then. Also, it's not really necessary to get into the expansion packs i mentioned as they don't offer a whole lot in terms of overall story development, they're really just an alternate view of the events of the main game if i remember correctly. I'm not even sure if they made them for PS2 actually.

it feels dated, but it's still fun to play through. i am kinda interested to see what happens. i like how you're just thrust into the situation and things are explained little by little. the game kinda reminds me of red faction (which i imagine tried to mimic it in many ways).

the episodes weren't released on ps2, and yea i prob wouldn't play them anyway.

it's funny when you go back and play games that were considered to have good story development for their time. about a year ago i was playing through the resident evils in prep for 5.

i remember being amazed by RE2 back in the day - awesome cutscenes, good characters, badass enemies...now the plot seems pretty cliche and lame, haha. it's good to see how far we've come.

the game still holds up surprisingly well, though. i went through and played both scenarios for each of the characters  one of my fave ps1 games for sure.

Still loot farming on Borderlands. Will be opening up some major time in my schedule for Bioshock 2 and Mass Effect 2 this month, though.

Borderlands is great fun. What class do you play? I have a lvl 28 soldier and a 36 siren, beat the game with the latter. I have some ridiculous weapons on the Siren, the best of which is an SMG with a 9 something fire rate and 4x ignite, the burning damage is enough to kill most enemies after only shooting them 3-4 times. You can just spray a group of enemies briefly then watch them all burn, lol. The best thing about the soldier is the ammo regen, by far.

Is Mass Effect 2 out on PC?

A bit late to board, but Unreal 3 is fantastic. The new addition of hover boards in vehicle matches is superb. I know most of you are console cats, so has anyone picked it up for 360?

I have a lvl 50 Hunter and a lvl 34 Siren. Beaten the game twice with the former, once with the latter.

I envy your position, moby. Half-Life 2 is even better than Bioshock. Don't listen to that zebediah character.

wait, can you start the game over with an old character, and then is everything still matched in levels? if so, neat

I know I'm about 5 months late to the party, but this game is legit. Just beat Scarecrow. Loving it.

Start Playthrough 2 with the same character. Enemies and loot will scale up to meet your level. Game gets a lot harder.

Reminds me of Diablo II, which I've recently started playing again.

I've watched two 6+ minute installments of Heavy Rain and it looks like one of the worst games in the world, ever.

It's like Max Payne crossed with Big Brother. Want not.
