If you weren't even born when the first two Star Wars came out, are you justified in waiting in the cold for 6 months to see episode 3?

http://waitingforstarwars.blogspot.com/

Seriously, is episode 3 even worth waiting for?

You don't have to have been born in time to see the first two films to love these movies. And by waiting in line for however many months he's probably guaranteeing himself a spot in Star Wars Geek/Nerd lore. That in and of itself is probably worth a lot more to him than seeing a movie which could or could not be a load of poop.

I guarantee Episode III will be better than I and II combined. This one sounds f*cked up on many levels.

I can't believe these morons stand in line for days to see some crappy movie. Maybe if they made that sort of effort into getting a woman they might get laid once in their lives. Somebody should drive by and shoot all these morons.

I never understood the whole "waiting on line" thing either. As much as I love Star Wars, I'd never do that. I'll just get my tickets 2 weeks in advance and I'm good to go.

waiting in line makes no sense. You can get tix on-line weeks in advance and then just show up like an hour or two before the show starts to get a good seat. At least that's how it is here. The first showing of Episode I wasn't even sold out when i saw it because it was in the afternoon and most people, unlike this dude, actually have to work during the day.

It sure is. I'll probably wait for it to come out on DVD. :P

I ADORE Star Wars, but yeah, waiting like that is fucking stupid. Absolute proof that they have NO life WHATSOEVER.

Yep. But if these people got laid, who will support the Star Wars empire of action figures, plush ewoks, crappy merchandising tie-ins, and Princess Amidala costumes? And we'd also lose the delight of seeing a grossly overweight 28-year old dress up as Darth Maul.

I would say standing in line for hours is stupid but I've done it for Pearl Jam tickets. I guess I never get laid.

Pearl Jam only comes around once every 2 years or so. Your comparison is a bit off

Why is he getting attention for this? I know of a homeless guy that lives behind a movie theater that technically could be "waiting in line" as well. But he's been there for a good year and a half or so.
