I saw this last night. I would give it a 3/5. I am a vampire movie fan (minus the twilight series), so I probably gave it an extra half point because of that. The plot was pretty predictable once it was set up, but the story was still good. Willem Dafoe was pretty good, and there are some very gory moments. Probably one of the bloodiest vampire movies I've ever seen.

If you are a fan of vampire flicks, see this in the theater. Otherwise, wait for the dvd.

oh, if you are a fan of unbelievably loud screeches, shrieks, and roars, see this movie. also if you are a fan of the method of everything going silent, nothing happening on screen, then something jumping out and making a ridiculously loud noise for no reason. also see this movie if you like pointless and silly looking decapitations, and lots of dramatic posing after kill shots.

the story was decent, I guess, and Ethan Hawke's performance stood out. otherwise, it blew ass.

The more I think about it, the more I come to realize how bad Sam Neil's performance was as the lead "bad guy". Was pretty awful.

I randomly saw this today as well. Apparently I wanted SyFy quality in a movie, but wanted to actually pay good money for it.

On a sort of opposite note I saw Alvin & the Chipmunks 2 at work today and it was kind of not terrible. David Cross was in it, Theodore got dutch ovened, and overall it didn't make me want to kill myself, so I was pretty pleased.

What? I had to see it. It's not like it was good, but it was better than Terminator 4 and most of the shit I take the kids to go see.

It just seems like you're getting the crummy parts of raising kids without the additional help during the harvest.

Don't worry, one of 'em went lame and we sold him to the knacker.
