Yes, and thus: they need to set an end date, cuz this season's sucked until the last 2 episodes.

Easily. Dexter is finally "found out" and goes on the run (season 6); trial/consequences/family fallout/execution or escape (season 7). Finis.

Too easy. They like to throw us curveballs a lot like killing Rita.

I honestly think they should just end it on a good note. Lumen seems to be a good fit for dexter. I don't see why it all has to end badly. The story could continue and just leave the show at a certain point. Dexter has to deal with his son if he becomes a psyco killer.

The character studies in this seson are great. Jordan Chase is almost like a Charles Manson like character. He doesn't commit the act, but is the direct cause of it.

damnit that was a cheap cliffhanger.

I think Deborah will catch dexter and find him out, like in the books. At least that is what the preview is trying to give a hint at... but they always act like thats going to happen and then chicken out.

soo, Quinn will be blamed for robocop's murder im guessing...

i dont know why, but i expected more from that episode... after the last two, this one seemed a bit of a letdown (and it seemed much shorter too)... i hope it's just setting up for a great finale

Quinn's name is on the stakeout paperwork so he will of course be questioned. At the scene of the crime, blood on his shoe. He will need to decide whether to tell Dexter's sister what he knows. The big question is does Lumen live or die?

I'm pretty sure BurpFart Cat is behind all of this.

to be fair, I am pretty sure that the show hasn't followed the books since season 1.

Its no big deal, but I think some might agree that stuff pertaining to major plot points that could possibly relate to the show should be treated carefully.

Honestly, I love this show. I really hope that Dexter is figured out at some point. I feel that should be the direction the show should take in its final season. I think it has a lot of potential with the whole police department going back through his history and connecting all of the dots, it would be great.

What I don't want is his son growing up and then he realizes that he is just like him. I feel that would be a let down.

As for the season finale next week, I hope his sister figures him out. It will be interesting to see how they have her react, however, if she does figure him out this week...it will be a cliffhanger till next season.

Judging by the preview somebody else may figure him out. Masuka is shown watching Liddy's footage. Deb running into him may be interpreted as self defense if Masuka doesn't say anything. Dexter is briefly shown on the floor trying to hit Chase with the knife.

Here is how I think it will go:

1. Emily will be viewed as #13 not Lumen
2. Jordan Chase will be sought in her murder and all others
3. Dexter will be about to kill Jordan
4. Debra will catch him
5. Story will be Lumen was next or maybe Jordan does already kill her
6. Dexter gets off
7. Nanny kidknaps Harrison

Unresolved:
1. Does Quinn die/go to jail/tell Debra what he knows
2. Does Lumen live?

What makes you think that the Nanny plotline would ever evolve into something that sinister?

There's a hint on the show's site that implies Dexter saves his ass.
If that's Dexter, Debra finds i think he'll pretend he lost his mind because of Rita's murder or something along this lines. I mean Deb buys everything Dexter says by default so i don't see her as a problem.
