i gotta tell you, as much as i am looking forward to IM 2 and captain america, this one is right up there

hopkins is playing odin, thors father and portman as jane foster(?)

the costume is from copiels run on thor and i am sure its going to incorporate some of the Ultimate character (just not as a hippie, i hope)

for those who dont know thor the comic character, he is the thunder god, but his father feels he needs to learn humility, so he banishes thor to midgard (earth) and in the form of a mortal man, dr donald blake, who must walk with a crutch/cane. when blake goes on vacation to norway, he finds a cave and Mjolnir inside, which is his hammer, and though its the size of a normal battle hammer, the only people who can lift it are those who are worthy.

his half brother, loki, is the god of mischief and goes out of his way to try to gain favor from odin and to humiliate thor

I really liked simonson's run on the Thor series, but that is because i liked him in Asgard a lot.

I'm excited about the movie. I had not heard portman was in it. That is always an added bonus.

Hopefully Branagh can get a human performance from her.

That's weird to me that he is directing. Oh well, hopefully it improves the final product.

I've heard that you want to stay throughout the IM2 credits for some teasers of Capn America and Thor.

Quote:
“A 100% trusted source (NOT from the production/distribution, but very familiar with the movie) confirmed us today that there will be an easter egg in IM2. It’s an extra scene, just like the one in the first movie, after the end credits.

We are able to tell you what’s about! It’s a scene about… Captain America and Thor! Maybe this doesn’t seem a big reveal, but it’s nice to have a confirmation.”

i was very impressed, i picked up the first three volumes. aside from the art and the dialogue, the story is outstanding.
J. Michael Straczynski and Copiel really knock it outta the park. Copiel is responsible for House of M, and his style fits Thor to a T

I can confirm this... It's pretty neat.
