300 mill worldwide so far. if it can crack 500 i will be happy.

also, is this the first time movies have had tie-ins with other movies that arent sequels?

this might be my favorite part out of this series, hulk, IM, Thor and Cap

Saw this tonight. Like the Shield reference and
Spoiler: show
the reference to Stark, lol.

Pretty good flick. Portman kind of annoyed me, but wasn't anything too bad.

Nope. There's been hundreds of movies that have done this. Not huge Hollywood blockbusters, though.

Alright alright, I still think it's a little weird, but I do apologize for the spoiler thing.

But meanwhile, I'm pleased you got the chance to show how utterly cool you are when compared to me by your second sentence. I am indeed humbled by your superiority.

Forgot to say before: as big of a Kat Dennings fan I am in general, she's a quality actress and sexy to boot, her character couldn't have been less superfluous here. You could've removed her from the film entirely and it literally wouldn't have made the tiniest bit of difference. In fact, we would've been spared the one lame facebook joke.

Which, c'mon Hollywood, why do we have to have these? And I'm not making the hipster argument that facebook is all lame and gay or whatever other bullshit, I'm perfectly alright using it in the limited capacity I do, but it's just been next to impossible to include a facebook reference in a movie these days without it being just a very tacky and unfunny joke.

(especially in The Social Network. geez louise, they just wouldn't shut the fuck up about it in that flick...)

See -- as lame and unfunny as that was.

I guess for the layman like me, it had to be explained.

One day I was flipping channels, watched a bit of the Marvel Super Hero Super Squad show (the cartoon where all the Marvel heros are... kids?)
Mystique broke into the hellicarrier, was impersonating Thor, Iron Man walks up says something, Mystique replies... Iron Man stops .... "umm Thor why arnt you talking in that weird shakespeare langauge" Mystique "oh right thou shall try harder"

not sure exactly how that exchange went but i found it rather funny... and the Shakespeare comment reminded me of it lol...
