I got TDKR Blu-Ray for my birthday from my brother.
I've watched the second disc special features so far and I'm really impressed. Obviously, deleted scenes/extended version of the film would've been great but the one-hour special on the history of the Batmobile is fantastic and even quite moving to watch. Especially at the end when they're all brought into a warehouse and put next to each other so Nolan and others from Batman history can look around and take pictures. A very well done feature.
The little featurettes on the making of the major scenes in the movie are interesting, but could've gone into more detail.
I'm watching the entire trilogy on Tuesday, can't wait!

Making my way through Disc 2 special features....
Lots of great/interesting/exciting things.
Super fucking long special on the batmobile over the years - and i mean OVER THE YEARS.... Cool though.
I keep thinking about the first Bane/Batman fight. I have had this thought about it for awhile. im not completley convinced I believe it but its a lingering thought so perhaps I just need to vomit it out to the internet.
Its an amazing sequence. Amazing scene. one that I think about. One that I cant really turn my head from when its on. Not unlike the "you cant handle the truth" scene in A Few Good Men.
Its just great.
Word.
the scene is so awesome it almost, almost makes me forgive the scene in which Bane is disposed of.

I think an alien from another planet who is super strong and can fly is more believable than Nolan's Batman.
Maybe.
But Nolan's Batman was grounded in a world where aliens from other planets that are super strong and can fly don't really seem to make sense; seem less believable.
I think it would feel weird to squeeze that Batman into a world with Superman, Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman. Maybe not. Maybe they could pull it off, but it feels unnecessary and high risk.
That's the best part. A flying alien wouldn't make sense in our world either. Batman would be experiencing the same thing we would if Superman/aliens suddenly arrived. You take the awe and wonder out if its a given that superheroes are everywhere and it's no big deal.
Actually, that is kind of an interesting angle. I could see that working. It would be tricky, but the payoff could be fantastic.
After watching the new Superman trailer I'm more convinced then ever that the tone is close enough to Nolan's Batman that a cross over would work. Just picture this scene at the end of The Man Of Steel. Black screen ---- scene opens with a close up of a tv with news footage of the big battle in the movie.....the camera crawls back to show the back of a mans head on a couch watching the footage.....a woman's arm rests on his shoulder.....you hear her say "what do you think, that can't possibly be real can it?"......you hear him say "I don't know" switch to a close up of Bale's face "but I'm gonna find out" ---- BOOM black screen audience goes absolutely bonkers.

I'm a stubborn motherfucker. But you have completely changed my mind on this. For real. The Nolan Batman could make perfect sense in a JL movie. And I actually got excited when I read your scene example. I wish it was really happening.

Skip to 4:45. Bane's rap is funny.

This, Skyfall, Avengers and The Hobbit are by far the best movies of the year. (I still hate how they get rid of Bane though... I liked him more than Ledgers Joker.)
I think I'd like this movie better if this was the plot:
