All the Ledger nay-sayers were wrong, but still .... I'd hate to see Nolan try to put the Joker into the next movie.

It's gotta be false, since he's said several times he doesn't ever wanna use Penguin.

i really like that idea of the riddler as a detective after batman--it fits really well with the gotham v batman ending

It would be fitting if Coleman Reese's character was actually named Edward Nygma.

Damn somewhere else I can't remember, another site I think, they brought up that exact idea. Obviously would help tie into the existing arc.

But yea I'd also heard about the concept of Nygma working inside the police force at the start helping them out. Man they could have a really smart, twisty script taking full advantage of the Riddler. Get David Mamet to write it

or have the nolans write it

Well sure, they did a great job. That was a little bit tongue and cheek, but I am a huge Mamet fan. I was just thinking that he's the best living writer of the con, and with a lot of possibilities of a total mindfuck sorta story, well...

i think nolan can mindfuck too, he did make momento

Those were a few of the casting rumors for The Dark Knight a long time ago. I think both have a 0% chance for Batman 3.

I think we all know by now to never assume anything until it happens.

I'm gonna throw out a casting idea for The Riddler now that I'll dare to be presumptuous enough to say nobody else has thought of. It's a guy I've long been a huge fan of that I already think can be pretty much do anything, but in the hands of the right director and right script, he can REALLY do anything.

I called the Riddler a long time ago: Joseph Gordon Levitt
